The Home Insulation and Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme (HIES) has unveiled a refreshed brand identity and new website, marking the next stage in its evolution within the UK home energy sector.
The refresh reinforces HIES’s long-standing mission: to raise standards in home energy improvements by supporting Accredited Installers and providing homeowners with access to regulated financial protection.
As the home energy industry continues to grow and mature, installers are looking for practical support to develop their businesses, while homeowners expect clarity and reassurance when making significant investments. The updated HIES proposition responds to both.

“Over a decade ago, HIES was founded on the belief that raising standards and protecting homeowners would ultimately strengthen the entire industry.

Supporting Installers and Protecting Homeowners
The refreshed HIES identity brings greater clarity to the organisation’s dual role – supporting installers and protecting homeowners.
For installers, the evolution places stronger emphasis on accessible business support, marketing resources, industry connections and practical tools designed to support day-to-day operations and long-term growth.
For homeowners, HIES continues to provide access to homeowner protection through its Accredited Installer network, including procured deposit and stage payment protection, procured insurance backed guarantees, and access to alternative dispute resolution which includes free access to the ombudsman.
Alongside the refreshed visual identity and new logo, HIES has launched a redesigned website to improve navigation, clarity and accessibility for both installers and homeowners. The new platform provides clearer pathways to information, resources, and details about protection.
Since its inception, HIES has protected more than 539,000 customers and helped provide cover for over £5.2 billion in contract value. During this period, HIES Accredited Installers have completed hundreds of thousands of home energy installations across the UK, including more than 392,000 solar PV installations and over 89,000 air source heat pump installations.
The refreshed brand ensures HIES remains a clear and credible standard in a competitive and increasingly complex industry.
